Pastor John Stima planted Monroe Baptist Church in 1999 under Baptist World Missions. Through his leadership, the church has grown to be fully operational and self-supporting. 

Pastor Stima graduated from Bob Jones University with an undergraduate degree in Bible and Master's degree in Pastoral Studies. He and his wife, Linda, live in Monroe and have three children, Elizabeth, Emily, and Ethan.
